This Division implements environmental projects aimed at providing a safe environment for future generations in the Southern Province.
A special focus has been devoted to the conservation and development of environmentally sensitive and attractive areas under the Ministry of Environment and Electronic Waste Management which is a serious problem at the local authority level. The organic home gardening project will focus on the home gardening community and the waste management project is expected to direct the people to produce compost at home level. In addition, a number of special programs have been launched to educate school children and the community on environmental protection and to educate school children and the community on environmental protection.
Forest Orchards Establishment and conservation of orchards.
